Adding Coffee Grounds To A Shake For An Energy Drink – Good Idea?
1 June 2009 in Coffee makerI’m no fan of coffee, but I have another idea. In the morning, why not add some coffee grounds into a shake to turn it into an energy drink? Good or bad idea? I’m not sure I want to try this.

If you do that, make sure you use instant!!! You do not want to add coffee grounds (from the pot).
But yes, instant coffee would be excellent in a shake!
You could do that or why not just add a shot of espresso. The coffee grounds my not be very pleasant as far as texture goes. I would either do a shot of espresso or even mix in some instant coffee. If you don’t like coffee, maybe you should get your energy from a healthier source like protein or fiber.
Uh, unless you want a mouth full of grounds, it’s not a good idea. Rather brew up the coffee and add it in it’s liquid state. The grounds will not disintegrate.
By the way, many energy drinks already have coffee in them, so why not just switch?
Depends on the drink. Sometimes coffee can be over powering.
