How Do I Clean My Coffee Pot?

I have read that you can clean the stains with ice, salt and lemon juice. Can this be used with stainless carafes as well as glass? The coffee pot has a lot of build up (it makes up to 5 pots a day).

  2. Use a coffee pot cleaner like ” Dip-It “.
    You will find it in the coffee aisle of your grocery store.

  3. Use baking soda and hot water. If you want to clean the inside of the pot put a couple of tablespoons of Baking soda in the pot then add an inch of very hot water. When you swirl it around it will remove the gunk inside. If it’s really stubborn you can put some rice in there to “scrub”. If you need to clean the outside make a paste from bakingsoda and hot water….a light scrub and rinse!! This works on glass and stainless steel. I’ve tried the vinager too and didn’t like the smell or aftertaste it left. Baking soda doesn’t leave either!! This tip was originally from a starbuck’s employee who said this is how they clean their pots.

I use this same remedy for cleaning my coffee maker I use 1 cup of vinegar to 3 cup of cold water mix well then i put this in the coffee maker first let it brew like you were making coffee when it it is finished just let it sit in the coffee pot for 1 hr swish it around a few times and you will have a clean pot and coffee maker too I do this a least once a month it helps ur coffee to taste better by removing the residue left behine from the coffee grinds

  8. try good old fashion cleanser works .use it all the time on stainless and glass sprinkle it on scrub with a nylon scrubby or even sos pads. rinse very well in cold water

  11. I use CLR, a brand of calcium, lime and rust remover, it works great and you can buy it at any super market. You can also use it in area with hard water stains, like the bathtub or toilets!
    Vinegar works also, but you need to run it several times and rinse very well!

  12. Powder based dish soap – two tablespoons and boiling water. Stir it up, let it sit for about 10 minutes. Pour out the soapy water and rinse clean.
    Should clean up nicely and not have a remnants of vinegar.
