How Do I Clean The Coffee Stains Out Of My Coffee Pot?

1 June 2009 in Coffee maker

My coffee pot is starting to look pretty bad. I thought about putting some lime cleaner in there, but I really don’t want to drink lime cleaner remants in my next cup of coffee. There must be some effective way to clean a coffee pot. Any suggestions?

  1. I usually run a pot of water and white vinegar to clean the coffee maker and run another pot with clear water and that takes care of the pot . For the carafe or pot it self I put some bleach, dish soap, and warm water, and I let it soak for half hour ,then rinse and it’s sparkly cleaned!

  7. Use Dip-It for coffee pots.
It smells great and is non toxic.
You can find it with the coffee or in the cleaning supply section of the grocery store.
It really does a nice job.

  17. white vinegar. run a pot thru 1/2 water 1/2 vinegar just like your going to make coffee just without any coffee. It works perfect.
Edit: I thought you meant the coffee machine.
For just the pot about a half cup of bleach with water. Let sit a few minutes and just rinse well.
