How Do You Get Old Coffee Stains Out Of Light Colored Carpet?

30 June 2009 in Coffee maker

I spilled some coffee on my carpet and immediately soaked it up… it look really good — and then I put baking soda on the area (I have one with before with other liquids and it works really good to pull out and remove anything remaining.)…… well I left the baking soda for several days …. and when I vacuumed it up …. now I have coffee stains on my carpet that I don’t know how to remove.

  1. Coffee stains on carpet aren’t difficult to remove if you act quickly. Here’s a good rule of thumb: to remove carpet stains effectively, it’s important you get to the task immeidately upon spilling, if you don’t you’re more likely to incur permanant damage. Dab at the stain with vinegar or club soda until it’s removed. If you waited too long and the stain has set in, you should still be able to remove the stain by using dry-cleaning solvent. Blot until the stain is lifted.=)
