Poor white vinegar into the cup. Add 1/4 cup uncooked rice. The rice will act as a non abrasive cleaner and the vinegar will remove the smell. After you wash it, add boiling water and let it sit for about 10 minutes. That will help remove any vinegar smell. Then it should be just like new!!
I use plain ole bleach in my dish water. It doesn’t take but a minute and its a dissinfectant too.
Lemon works for almost anything. Just let lemon juice soak in it for awhile and it should do the trick.
White Vinegar will not only get the smell out it will also get out any stains. Happy cup cleaning!!
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
You could use an acid like Bleach or alternatively you could use something caustic like vodka (which in a spray bottle also works well to remove the smell of cigarette smoke from clothing).
