  1. Most places it is probably costing them 1 cent to make the coffee, but Charbuck spends a little more to burn their beans, so probably 2 cents.
The rest of that $4.00 is just foolish people paying for the charbucks name to try to be trendy! v V

  3. Starbucks does NOT sell coffee for $4. anywhere in the US. maybe overseas because of exchange rates. but here in the good ol USA the MOST expensive coffee you can get at starbucks is $1.96 including tax.
remember whn you buy coffee you’re also paying for the cup. the sleeve. the green splash stick. the cream. the 5 different kinds of sugar. the fact that its rebrewed every 30 minutes. and the person that gave it to you. not to mention when yits STARBUCKS coffee. you are paying for premium beans. at fair trade prices. and community support for the farmers. like the medical centers and doctors that starbucks pays for to be built and reside on the coffee farms just for the workers and their families free of charge to them. Did you know that starbucks offers credit to farmers so that they don’t have to sell themselves short and sell their beans early to avoid going poor while waiting for the crops to full mature? Not to mention your paying for the storing and processing of the aged beans (the ones kept in singapore) and the constant monitoring and tasting of them – the same ol beans – for years.
All that for $1.96. pretty fricken awesome.
I hate when people say that coffee is $4 at starbucks. no hun. frappuccinos are $4. that isn’t even coffee. its like a milk shake, with more sugar, and more flavor, and its hand made. completely. down to the hand made whipped cream. and then you’re going to ask me to cover it half a bottle of carmel and a lb of choclate chips for your fat little brats. and then of course.. wonder why it wasn’t free.

  5. I buy green coffee and roast my own.
Depending on the coffee, I figured it cost me between 30-60 cents per cup. I’m sure SB can get their burnt beans for less, probably 15-20 cents.
