How To Fit A Small Saucepan Or Coffee Maker When It Will Not Fit The Supports On My Gas Hob?

I have a small Italian coffee maker that won’t reach the supports on my gas hob. A friend mentioned he has seen a cross shaped device that rests on the cast iron supports so you can put small cooking objects on.
Does anyone know what these are called and where i can get one (London UK or online). A Trivet is close but appears to be a stand for hot objects and not for on the hob.
