24 June 2009 in Coffee makerI heard that coffee grinds help to keep your pipes in good condition and keep them from cloging. Does it depent on the type of coffee, type of pipe, climate, or is it even true? Has anyone else heard this?

No No No… just the opposite. Coffee grinds can clog your pipes because of the oils found in the coffee bean. Over time, the oils found in the coffee beans (plus in your table scrapings which include meat fats, margarine, cooking oil etc) can clog your pipes, leading to a very expensive line flush.
coffee grinds,,potatoe peelngs, lettuce.
None of it worksand it only only hastens the day of a good pipe blockage
