What Color Coffee Table Would Go Best With My Other Furniture?
6 June 2009 in Coffee makerI have a birch wood entertainment center, and a light blue sofa (it is the hydra color sofa from Rooms 2 Go). I am going for a beachy look & feel. Our walls are a sand color with white bead board half way up.
Would a white coffee table look out of place with the birch colored entertainment center? I thought if I got a birch coffee table it would be too matchy matchy…I would like to know others’ opinions on this.
Thx!

I think you’re right to want to go with the white; I hate the “matchy matchy” look too; it’s so boring! It’ll look great with your beadboard too. Just be sure not to get a glossy one. Choose a whitewashed or distressed look or even rattan or wicker. A trunk might look good too.http://www.cymaxstores.com/Common/Produc…http://www.furniturexo.com/Treasures-Whi…http://cgi.ebay.com/Distressed-White-2-D…http://www.potterybarn.com/products/p115...
Personally I would continue with the birch for cocktail and end tables. It just creates a nice clean flow. Though white could work, it would really depend on the pieces, their size, or how heavy they look. The white could be distracting.
see what you think on this one, might match what you have in mindhttp://www.foreverredwood.com/table-coff…
You could go light brown or dark/light blue that goes with your sofa color. Or maybe even a black coffee table, that would also look pretty with the birch wood.
