What Happens When You Swallow Coffee Beans Whole?

If one was trying to stay up late in order to do their homework, would simply swallowing coffee beans like pills suffice? What sort of damage (if any) to the digestive system would this do?

  1. If you swallowed enough of them they could get caught in your digestive track. If you really like whole coffee beans, buy some chocolate covered ones and chew them up. They will digest a lot better. Whole beans are not meant to be as food.
