The difference is in the recipe author!! It is a regional thing like the toppings on cakes are sometimes called Icing and sometimes Frosting.
Crumb Cake and Coffee Cake are the same thing and are Quick
Breads in old fashioned cookbooks.
How about doing both recipes and freezing half of each one?
A coffee cake could also be a crumb cake, but…..
A crumb cake could not always be a coffee cake.
A coffee cake can be a batter using baking soda or powder ..or..
it could also be made with a yeast dough.
With the blue berries I would want the crumb cake, but if you check the recipe for the coffee cake you may find that it also is made with baking powder or soda….in which case it would be a toss up.
put it through a juicer, bottle it and put it in the fridge…..it can be part of your 5-a-day.
